"Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?" (John 6:1-13, emphasis mine)
How many loaves do you possess?
How many fish are in your keeping?
What do you have, as small as it may seem or be?
When the need is so great, how far can such limited offerings go?
No matter your questions or concerns. . .
No matter your misgivings or fears. . .
RELEASE WHAT YOU HAVE TO JESUS.
SURRENDER IT ALL FOR THE MASTER'S USE.
In His grace to you, He will use your gift and your willingness.
In His love and compassion for others, He will create the increase.
As only He can do.
If the boy had consumed his provision that day, only he would have been temporarily satisfied, until seized by hunger's next demand.
But because he surrendered to the Savior the little that he had, it was miraculously and expansively increased for the welfare of many. And ultimately, what matters most, used for eternal good.
