Filled & Overflowing As We Trust
"May the God of hope fill you will all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13, italics added)
When
we are filled
with all JOY,
and filled with
all PEACE,
we will overflow
with HOPE.
Such joyful,
peaceful,
hope-overflowing
existence is
not contingent upon
circumstances ideal
or crises erased,
but rather upon
CHOOSING to TRUST
HIM—
humbly,
completely,
repeatedly,
expectantly—
IN EVERYTHING.
When we do this,
when we CHOOSE
to TRUST
(humbly,
completely,
repeatedly,
expectantly),
the GOD of HOPE,
who is sovereign
and wise, omnipotent
and omniscient,
empowers us by
the Spirit within
to think and speak,
laugh and live
as though all around
is faring well.
FOR WE KNOW
that with Him,
the ultimate Ruler
of all things,
ALL IS—
indubitably,
undoubtedly—
WELL,
yes, even when the
lousy situations of life
and subtle lies of Satan
try to convince us
otherwise.
